Let’s Hear From Cynthia …

What’s your secret sauce? How do you make it look so easy?

I’ve always had a very strong work ethic from very early on in my working years. It’s always brought me personal pride when I apply myself to do the best I can and many a time will go above and beyond what’s needed to make sure whatever I’m undertaking has the best outcome that I can make happen.

I also strongly believe that your customers always come first, we’re here in our roles because they’re in their roles, and it’s our job to do all we can to support them and make them successful. If they’re successful, you’ll be even more successful. You have to have the mindset that your ‘customers’ are everyone, they aren’t just your clients, but your colleagues, your leaders, and/or those that might report to you. Treat others the way you yourself want to be treated. The more we can do to support and help one another, the more successful we will all be at achieving our goals.

Change is one of the hardest things in life for all of us, and I really do try to open my mind and arms to it and accept the challenges put in front of me. Learning something new (or even teaching another person something new) brings me a feeling of personal satisfaction and growth, and the more I grow the more I thrive and the more I want.

And I aways do my best to do that with a smile. I have a sign that reads ’smile, it confuses people’. Be happy at what you do. Smiles are contagious, they bring on positive energy and can make even the most stressful, hardest tasks fun and can at times make them seem simple too. My philosophy is that the more fun you have doing the job, the more successful you’ll be in the job.

Teamwork does indeed make the dream work!

What’s your secret sauce? What are you passionate about? In or out of work?

I love being outdoors and in the sun; the sun makes you happy. I try to regularly appreciate what life and mother nature has to offer us. Whether it be taking a walk, working in the garden, or my all-time favorite, being on the beach at the Jersey shore.

What do you read/follow for professional inspiration?

I make a conscious effort to stay connected with the incredibly talented people and friends that I’ve met throughout my career. I also like to stay up to date with what’s going on in the healthcare realm by following and reading HIS Talks, HealthLeaders, and Beckers regularly.
